Xterm

A console/terminal/xterminal/xterm is the command line interface (CLI) to Ubuntu.
Click on the Dash and search for Terminal
- OR
On the keyboard press: CTL+ALT+t
- OR
On the keyboard press:
- ALT+F2
- Type gnome-terminal
- Then press the Enter key.
- How-to access a text mode only console.
On the keyboard press: CTL+ALT+F1. To return to the GUI desktop, press CTL+ALT+F7 or CTL+ALT+F8
