Legal

Due to legal restrictions Ubuntu does not "by default", install copyrighted and patented multimedia software.

Check the following link.

Then follow the simple steps below to install the restricted multimedia software when you are on-campus.


STEP 1

Setup the campus software repositories. If you followed the manual installation guide, then this has already been done.


STEP 2

Open an internet connection.


STEP 3

Click here to install the extra multimedia software from the campus software store

If the above fails then type the following in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
