A VPN connection allows you to work directly on the campus network, as if you were virtually on campus with your computer.

Step 1 - Apply for a VPN account

Phone 021 808 4367 and ask the IT help desk for information about a VPN account.

Step 2 - Download and install the client software

Click on one the links below to download the client software. After the download, double-click on the downloaded file to install the software.

From the launcher search for "forticlient". Click on the icon to start the client.

  • host = 146.232.65.1 OR fwvpn.sun.ac.za
  • port = 443
