With Virtualbox create a virtual Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 7 computer to use.
  1. Go to: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads or http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox and download the latest version for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
  2. Install Virtualbox by double-licking on the downloaded file. (Un-install any old versions first).
  3. Create a new Virtual machine by reading the help documentation. (See help below).

Now that you have a virtual Windows OS, you can start and stop it anytime using Virtualbox.
